On October 13, 2023, the Society for Bright Future organized 16 earthquake awareness programs across various locations in West Bengal to commemorate Risk Reduction Day. These programs aimed to educate and raise awareness about earthquake preparedness and safety. The events took place in the following districts: Bankura, Nadia, West Medinipur, East Medinipur, Hoogly, South 24 Parganas, North 24 Parganas, and 7 events were conducted in Howrah. A total of 1,755 teachers and students actively participated in these programs, gaining valuable knowledge about earthquake risks and effective response measures.
The success of these programs can be attributed to the dedication of 45 volunteers from the Society for Bright Future, who worked tirelessly to ensure the events ran smoothly and effectively. The impact of these awareness programs was significant, empowering participants to better protect themselves and their communities in the face of earthquake risks.
