On the occasion of International Disaster Risk Reduction Day, SBF organized five earthquake awareness and mock drill training programs across various districts in Assam North. These programs were held at M.E School (Dhubri), LP School (Darrang), Jaleswar (Goalpara), Baralimari Secondary School (Morigaon), and Nadia LP School (Nalbari). The events brought together local education authorities, school teachers, 1060 students, and 35 volunteers who actively participated in these informative and educational programs.
The aim of these events was to raise awareness, preparedness and risk reduction by educating and informing the community about the importance of being prepared and taking measures to minimize the impact of potential seismic events and any other disasters. This effort ultimately contributes to the safety and resilience of the region in the face of potential seismic events.
