Society for Bright Future Provides Relief to Fire Victims of Kanchan Kunj Slum, Delhi 17th June 2021 The volunteers of Society for Bright Future (SBF) quickly responded to the massive fire incident on 12th June 2021, that gutted down houses and properties at Kanchan Kunj slums, and provided relief to the affected 53 families. SBF’s volunteer coordinator Mr. Amir Jamal informed that there were no human casualties, but a large number of houses and property were destroyed in the fire. As an early response, SBF distributing mats and breakfast for the affected victims. They were also provided with utensils, food, water, ration, clothes, and sleeping accessories. On 13th June, with the emergency relief operations kicked off, ready-to-eat food and clothes were distributed among the victims. Later, a delegation comprising of the SBF team, Mr. Shafi Madani, Treasurer, Society for Bright Future, Amir Jamal, Volunteer Coordinator & Zahid Afzal, PR Executive visited the fire site and met with the victims and assured them all assistance. The delegation also reviewed the situation and analyzed the needs and decided to provide relief material.
On 13th June at 4:00 PM a help desk installs for monitor and manned the Fire Relief. Through our help Desk major activates done from 13th to 16th June 2021 as follows;
- Survey for Need Assessment
- Clothes Distribution
- Kitchen utensils Distribution
- Coordination with other NGOs
- Assisted other NGOs and individuals in the Distribution of their goods.
