On November 28th and 29th, 2023, Society for Bright Future (SBF) organized a two-day State Training Workshop on Disaster Management in Azamgarh, UP East. The workshop, attended by 38 dedicated volunteers, focused on imparting essential skills in First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting, River Crossing, and Rescue techniques. The event commenced with the holy words of Mr. Arif Islahi, Founder and Manger of Iqra Public School. He educated volunteers on ethical consideration and responsibilities associated volunteering.
During the workshop Mr. Irfan Ahmad, the National Coordinator of SBF, provided insights into SBFโs mission, Objective and its role in fostering mutual relations. He conducted a session on team building activities and goal setting. Dr. Amir Jamal the Volunteer Coordinator, discussed the organizational Structure, Expansion & Consolidation of the organization.
The workshop featured a dedicated trainer, Mr. Suresh Kumar from Delhi Civil Defense, who shared expertise on the significance of disaster management training, elaborating on techniques and strategies for fire-fighting, first aid training, snake biting, and flood preparedness, followed by training on river crossing and rescue procedures. Additionally, Mr. Umar Aslam Islahi educated volunteers on ethical consideration and responsibilities associated volunteering.
The workshop concluded with certificates distribution. The successful event was organized by under the capable guidance of Dr. Jalal Ahmad.
