SBF Delhi Team visited Minister of Environment

There is a waste-to-energy plant in Okhla area running from many years from which the pollution situation got very severe and causing a range of ailments including cancer in the nearby areas. Now the plan is to expand the composite plant from 16MW to 40MW (Waste to Energy). It will create more toxic air pollution and will affected lacs of people living in the nearby areas. A delegation of SBF members including Mr. Irfan Ahmad, National Coordinator, SBF, Mr. Saquib Khan, Convener, SBF Delhi & Mr. Hassanul Bannah Khan, Asst. Convener, SBF Delhi, Advocate Mohd. Anwar, Secretary, APCR Delhi along with other NGO’s visited D.M Office, Delhi Secretariat, Ministry of Environment and Delhi Pollution Control Committee, ISBT Delhi and give legal notice and public signed letter of 107 signature.
