Another community outreach program on the crucial issue of disaster management was held in the Department of Business Administration.
Society for Bright Future and the Department of Business Administration, University of Science and Technology Meghalaya, came together to organize a school-level disaster management awareness program at Little Star Senior Secondary School, 9th Mile Baridua, Meghalaya.
At the event, we imparted knowledge about the impacts of landslides and earthquakes and provided basic training on first aid, bandages, improvising stretchers, ground rescue, and whom to contact during a disaster. We believe that spreading awareness and knowledge about disaster management is crucial, and it was heartening to see the enthusiasm of the students and the faculty members who participated in the program.
We hope that our efforts will help the local community better prepare for and manage disasters, and we look forward to organizing more such initiatives in the future.
