A two-day State Training Workshop on Disaster Management was organized by Society for Bright Future (SBF) on 21st and 22nd October 2023, at Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan in which 40 volunteers were trained in First Aid, CPR, Fire Fighting, River Crossing, and Rescue.
The workshop was graced by the presence of the renowned personality Mr. Nizamuddin and starts with Inaugural words of Mr. Mohd Shafi Seth (Secretary General of SBF, SBF), in which he emphasized the importance of Ethics and Responsibilities of volunteers.
Following this, Mr. Suresh Kumar from Delhi Civil Defense and Mr. Rahul Sharma from Sawai Madhopur Civil Defense, shared their insights regarding the significance of disaster management training, elaborating on techniques and strategies for fire fighting, first aid training, and flood preparedness. They also conducted a session on team building activities and goal setting, followed by training on river crossing and rescue procedures.
Dr. Amir Jamal (Volunteer Coordinator, SBF) discussed the organizational Structure, Expansion & Consolidation of the organization.
The workshop concluded with an awards and certificates distribution.
