In continuation of our commitment to stand with flood-affected families in Punjab, Society For Bright Future (SFBF) successfully carried out the third day of our Help Desk Initiative in District Kapurthala. Our aim is to provide immediate support and address essential health and hygiene needs in the affected villages.
Villages Covered
On Day 3, our dedicated team of volunteers reached out to the following villages:
- Mand Koka
- Mand Talwandi Kuka
- Mand Dograwal
- Mand Gurdaspur
By covering these villages, we ensured that families struggling with the aftermath of floods received much-needed care and attention.
Distribution of Essentials
To tackle immediate challenges, we distributed:
- 100 Mosquito Coils – to help prevent mosquito bites and reduce the risk of diseases such as malaria and dengue, which often rise after floods.
- 100 Sanitary Pads – to support women’s hygiene needs during these difficult times.
These items, though basic, play a crucial role in maintaining health and dignity during emergencies.
Volunteer Efforts
This initiative would not have been possible without the dedication and compassion of our volunteers:
- Maksood Alam
- Salman
- Nabi Hussain
- Israr Ansari
Their relentless efforts in reaching remote areas and engaging directly with the community highlight the true spirit of humanity and service.
Moving Forward
At Society For Bright Future, we believe that community service is not just about relief—it’s about standing beside those in need, building resilience, and fostering hope. Our Help Desk Initiative will continue to expand, covering more villages and addressing the pressing needs of families affected by the floods.
Together, with the support of our volunteers, partners, and well-wishers, we are working towards a safer, healthier, and more secure tomorrow.
