On 1st May, 2024, in the afternoon, a hut caught fire due to a short circuit in Shahbaad Dairy, Bengali Basti, and all the huts there caught fire. Society for Bright Future’s State Convener Shahzad went there and observed the situation. During this observation visit, he observed that 160 huts were burned to ashes, and about 700 people were affected due to this. People also said that one person burned badly.
