Date: 9th November 2025 | Venue: Ahmedabad, Gujarat

The Society for Bright Future (SBF) successfully organized the Area Conveners Meeting for Gujarat on 9th November 2025 at Ahmedabad, marking another significant milestone in the organization’s mission to build disaster-ready communities across India. The meeting brought together 15 Area Conveners and volunteers from different regions of Gujarat, uniting them under one platform to review progress, share insights, and plan future initiatives.

The gathering was graced by Dr. Mohd. Salim Pattiwala and Mr. Shaikh Altaf, the State Convener of SBF Gujarat, both of whom addressed the participants with inspiring and strategic messages. Their speeches emphasized the importance of strengthening the organizational structure, enhancing local coordination, and expanding SBF’s humanitarian footprint across the state.

During the meeting, an important step toward organizational expansion was taken with the structuring of new Area Conveners for Rakhiyal, Juhapura, Surat, and Bhuj. This development will enable better coordination, rapid response, and stronger volunteer networks at the grassroots level — a core component of SBF’s disaster management framework.

A major highlight of the meeting was the participation of Mr. Irfan Ahmad, National Coordinator of SBF, who chaired a detailed planning session for the upcoming State-Level Workshop on Disaster Management. His address focused on capacity building, inter-area collaboration, and volunteer training to ensure a more effective and unified response during emergencies. Mr. Irfan emphasized that disaster management is not just about immediate relief but also about long-term preparedness, education, and resilience-building among communities.

The meeting also encouraged participants to share their on-ground experiences and challenges, fostering a healthy exchange of ideas and best practices. Conveners discussed strategies to engage more volunteers, promote awareness programs, and develop quick-response teams capable of handling emergencies with efficiency and compassion.

Reflecting on the event, Mr. Shaikh Altaf noted that such regular meetings play a vital role in keeping volunteers motivated, informed, and well-coordinated. He added that Gujarat, being a state prone to both natural and man-made disasters, requires a robust and connected network of trained volunteers to respond effectively and minimize risks.

The session concluded with a collective commitment to work towards a safer, more resilient, and disaster-prepared Gujarat. Volunteers pledged to continue serving humanity with sincerity, discipline, and dedication, embodying the core values of the Society for Bright Future.

Through consistent training, collaboration, and awareness initiatives, SBF Gujarat continues to strengthen its foundation — one that stands ready to face challenges and support communities in times of need.
