On 17th August 2025, the Society for Bright Future (SBF) Punjab, held its Annual Volunteers Meet in Malerkotla, Punjab, with the theme:
“Reviving Volunteerism – Building an Active & Coordinated SBF Punjab.”
This very significant gathering brought together volunteers, conveners and partner organizations for one purpose — to elevate the spirit of volunteerism and establish a stronger disaster management network across Punjab.
Highlights of the Meet
1. Spiritual Foundation
The program began with a Qur’anic reflection on volunteerism by Mr. Qasmi, reminding everyone that service to humanity is deeply rooted in faith and moral responsibility.
2. Activity Report & Achievements
Mr. Amash Altaf, State Co-Convener, presented the detailed report of activities from April 2023 to July 2025, showcasing the dedication and impact of SBF volunteers in Punjab.
3. Partner Insights
Mr. Nazeer, President of a partner organization, highlighted the opportunities and potential for SBF’s expansion and deeper community engagement across Punjab.
4. SWOT Analysis – Building Stronger Foundations
A SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) discussion was supervised by Mr. Irfan Ahmad, National Coordinator, to evaluate SBF Punjab’s position and chart out a more effective roadmap. This exercise encouraged open dialogue and constructive planning.
5. Call for Coordination
Dr. Amir Jamal, National Volunteer Coordinator, emphasized the need for better coordination between state leadership, area conveners, and ground-level volunteers to ensure timely and effective disaster response.
6. Leadership Election – A New Chapter
The event concluded with the state elections, where six representatives were chosen by volunteers. In a unanimous decision, Mr. Asif Jameel was elected as the Punjab State Convener (2025–27). His leadership will guide SBF Punjab towards greater impact and stronger networks.
7. Vision for the Future
Mr. Irfan Ahmad, National Coordinator, wrapped up the program with a powerful message on the vision and next steps for Punjab’s volunteer network, motivating everyone to continue their journey with sincerity and unity.

The Punjab Volunteers Meet 2025 was not just an event, but a renewed pledge of service, resilience, and coordination. A big thank you to all the volunteers, leaders, and partner organizations who made this gathering meaningful.
