Mr. Irfan Ahmad, National Coordinator of the Society for Bright Future (SBF), held a constructive meeting with Mr. Akhtarul Imaan, Honorable MLA , Bihar Assembly and State Head AIMIM to discuss the recurring issue of frequent floods in the Seemanchal region. The discussion focused on the flood frequency, its severe impact on vulnerable communities, and the urgent need for sustainable and long-term solutions.
During the interaction, special emphasis was laid on identifying the most effective advocacy approaches to address flood preparedness, mitigation, and rehabilitation. Both leaders shared insights on strengthening policy-level advocacy, community-based disaster management, and coordinated efforts with government and civil society organizations to reduce future risks and ensure timely relief for affected populations.
The meeting reaffirmed SBF’s commitment to proactive advocacy and resilient development strategies for flood-prone regions like Seemanchal.
