Cold and Heat waves in northern India take hundreds of lives each year. Most of the fatalities are among the displaced, homeless, and underprivileged people, who are directly exposed to the harshness of nature. According to the Institute of Global Homelessness (IGH) 2018 report 1.8 million people are homeless in India with 52% based in urban areas. The number of this vulnerable population staggers to over 6 million caused by numerous disasters each year as reported by the Internal Displacement Monitoring Centre (IDMC).
 
SBF works for the welfare of such people through its Clothes Distribution Campaign, after disasters and natural calamities as well as in normal conditions. SBF provides clothes to people in underprivileged sections of the society, for both winters and summers to help them get through the harsh weather.
