SBF Headquarter Delegation Visits Flood-Affected Areas in Punjab

Sep 15, 2025

In the wake of the devastating floods that have submerged several parts of Sultanpur Lodhi Tehsil, the Headquarter Delegation of the Society for Bright Future (SBF), New Delhi, undertook a field visit to assess the situation and extend support to the affected communities.

Delegation Leadership

The delegation was led by Mr. Mohd. Shafi Madni (Secretary, SBF) and included:

  • Mr. Irfan Ahmad (National Coordinator, SBF)
  • Mr. Mohd. Shahzad (PRO, SBF)
  • Mr. Asif Jameel (State Convener, SBF Punjab)
  • Mr. Sajid Attar (Representative of Partner Organisation)

They were accompanied by a team of 10 dedicated volunteers, who are actively engaged in ground operations.

Survey of Affected Villages

The team visited Baupur Jadid and Sandra villages, two of the worst-hit areas where vast portions remain submerged under floodwaters. During the visit, the delegation conducted on-ground surveys to assess the extent of damage to homes, agriculture, and livestock. This assessment will serve as the foundation for rehabilitation activities once the floodwaters recede.

Collaboration With Authorities

As part of their visit, the delegation also met with community leaders and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) personnel to coordinate relief efforts. The exchange focused on understanding immediate challenges faced by villagers and identifying ways in which SBF can collaborate with local authorities for more effective relief and recovery operations.

A Step Toward Rehabilitation

While immediate relief remains critical, SBF is equally committed to long-term recovery. Plans are already being developed to support families in rebuilding their lives and restoring their livelihoods once the situation stabilizes.

Our Commitment

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Mr. Mohd. Shafi Madni emphasized that “Society for Bright Future stands firmly with the people of Punjab in this difficult time. Our priority is to not only provide immediate relief but also to ensure sustainable rehabilitation for those affected.”

👉 The Society for Bright Future calls upon supporters and well-wishers to join hands in helping Punjab recover from this calamity. Together, we can bring relief, hope, and resilience to those who need it the most.
