Society for Bright Future Organizes Women Training Workshop at The Scholar School, Delhi
In line with its mission to build resilient communities, the Society for Bright Future (SBF) organized a Women Training Workshop on Disaster Management at The Scholar School, Delhi. The program was designed to empower women with essential knowledge, awareness, and practical skills to effectively respond during times of disaster.
Focus on Mental Health & Preparedness
The workshop began with an insightful session by Mr. Irfan Ahmad (National Coordinator, SBF) on Mental Health and Well-being in Disaster Situations. He emphasized the psychological challenges individuals face during crises and highlighted coping strategies to maintain mental resilience.
Following this, Dr. Amir Jamal (Volunteer Coordinator, SBF) spoke on the aims and objectives of disaster training. His session underlined the importance of community preparedness, the role of women in disaster response, and the need for collective action during emergencies.
Voices of Inspiration
The participants were further motivated by Mohtarma Sadia, who addressed the gathering and encouraged women to take an active role in preparedness and recovery efforts. Her words inspired confidence and highlighted the significance of women’s leadership in crisis situations.
Adding a practical dimension, Mr. Suresh Kumar (Civil Defence, Delhi) shared ground-level insights on disaster response. His inputs offered participants a hands-on understanding of how to act swiftly and effectively when faced with emergencies.
Building Resilience Through Awareness
This initiative was not just a training session, but a step toward building stronger, more resilient communities. By equipping women with disaster management skills, SBF aims to ensure that families and communities are better prepared to face challenges with confidence and coordination.
