Born in 1944 in Mulliyakkurishi, Malappuram district (Kerala), K.K. Early Life and Education
K.K. Mammunni Maulavi began his journey of Islamic education at Shanthapuram Islamia College, where he studied from 1955 to 1965 and earned the F.D and B.S.S.C degrees. After completing his studies, he began teaching at Karayat Madrasa, laying the foundation of a lifelong commitment to Islamic education.
Career and Contributions
His formal career began as Imam and Madrasa teacher at Chavakkad Muthuvattur Mahall (1966–1976). He later served as Principal of Muvattupuzha Madrasatul Banat, further cementing his role in educational leadership.
Between 1977 and 1987, he took on a significant organizational responsibility as the Zonal Secretary of Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala, serving across multiple districts. He has also held membership in the Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala Shura and the All India Representative Assembly, actively contributing to policy, guidance, and spiritual leadership.
