A team of five SBF volunteers from the Society for Bright Future Katihar reached Baldiya Bari Manihari village of Katihar district, devastated by a massive fire, on April 25, 2024, and took stock of the situation. On May 16, 2024, a team of SBF volunteers distributed new saris among the women of 90 burned houses here. It is known that 90 houses were burned to ashes due to the fire, and they were not even left with clothes. The team of the Society for Bright Future conducted a survey and took stock of them. In the first phase, SBF distributed new clothes to all the women, and soon, in the second and third phases, efforts will be made to provide wooden stools for beds and build new houses for widowed women.
This cloth distribution program was chaired by Mohammad Ayub (District Convener, SBF Katihar), and among the volunteers, Rehan Gani, Ikramul Haque, Mohammad Sonu, and Mohammad Amjad, along with local people, played an important role.
