On August 13, 2023, the houses of 50 families residing in the Madarpur and Gaibandha areas experienced flooding due to the rising water levels of the Aai River in the Chirang district, Assam North. In response, a five-member team led by SBF volunteer Kuran Ali from Chirang district took swift action. The team diligently visited each household, assisting the flood-affected individuals in relocating their belongings to higher ground and assessing the severity of the situation.
And they distributed essential dry food and drinking water to 40 flood-affected families residing in Madarpur and Nagolbhanga within the Chirang district. Additionally, the team actively participated in relief efforts at a designated camp and conducted a comprehensive survey to gather vital data pertaining to the 40 flood-affected families.
