The COVID-19 pandemic and the unprecedented preventive lockdowns have changed the life of every individual in the country. Various partner organisations working under ‘Vision 2026’ joined government agencies and other civil society groups in confronting Covid-19 pandemic by all possible means. These partner organizations included Society for Bright Future (SBF), Medical Service Society (MSS), Human Welfare Foundation (HWF), Human Welfare Trust (HWT) and Model Village Trust (MVT). The major focus of ‘Vision 2026’ lied on helping unprivileged and vulnerable segments fight the hunger and prevent the spread of pandemic. The project covered 138 districts in 19 states across the nation.
Cooked food packets were distributed to 1,58,600 migrant and homeless people in various states. Ration kits containing essential items like Aatta, Rice, Oil, and Pulses were distributed to 45,998 families across the states. Over 10000 families were linked with government schemes for ration supply.
Vision donated one ICU unit with advance biomedical equipment to IQRAA International Hospital, Calicut, Kerala to support its effort of establishing COVID-19 treatment center. 1000 PPE kits, 13155 masks, 7000 gloves, 24 gallons and 1673 bottles of sanitizer, 200 caps and 200 shoes were also donated to Govt. offices and front line Covid-19 warriors.
Various awareness programs reached to 73200 persons. A pool of 1773 trained and dedicated volunteers actively engaged in executing various non-medical tasks in 203 Covid-19 hotspots in states of Assam, Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh.
Assessment survey programs covered over 15,000 families, consisting a population of over 75 thousand people in rural areas.
