A two-day training workshop on Disaster Management was organized by Society for Bright Future (SBF) on 17th and 18th December 2021, in Mussoorie, Uttarakhand for selected volunteers of Uttarakhand and UP west. 40 SBF volunteers were trained in First Aid, CPR, Snake Bite, Fire Fighting, and Mountatning, etc. in the workshop.Mr. Suresh, Member, Civil Defence, Delhi enlightened the volunteers about Disasters and Disaster Management. He also elaborated on techniques and strategies to be adopted in first aid, stretcher making, handling snake bites and Knot Making. He also conducted Fire Fighting Training (Types of Fire and Demonstration of Fire) and mock drill.Mr. Shahzad Farooqi, Asst. Convenor SBF Uttarkhand elaborated on techniques and strategies to be adopted in first aid, handling patients and CPR training. Mr. Amir Jamal, Volunteer Coordinator, SBF, spoke on Volunteers’ Ethics and Responsibilities. Shared his thoughts about the organizational Structure, Expansion & Consolidation of the organization.The second day of the workshop started with Mr. Suresh Kumar by Mountain tracking and survival skills during mountain rescue.
