Due to the sudden rise in water level at River Brahmaputra, the lower reaches of Bandia and its surrounded areas have submerged. Around 60 families of Bandia lowland areas have taken shelter at Bandia high Land. These families consist of 300 persons including 15 infants. There is a shortage of safe drinking water at the highland relief camping site. Some temporary toilets are also required. Our SBF volunteers are giving timely updates from the High Land. Many houses are submerged in water, the road has broken. In some places, soil erosion has also occurred.
