A two-day training workshop on Disaster Management was organized by Society for Bright Future (SBF) on 30-31 October 2021, at Golghar, Darbhanga, Bihar in which volunteers were trained in First Aid, CPR, Snake Bite Fire Fighting, River Crossing etc.Mr Taha Afaqi, State Convener, SBF Bihar spoke on the importance of training in Disaster Management and highlighted the role of SBF.Mr. Rizwan Ahmad Islahi, State President, Jamaate Islami Hind, spoke on Volunteers Ethics and Responsibilities.Mr. Suresh, Member, Civil Defence, enlightened the volunteers about Disasters and Disaster Management. He also elaborated on techniques and strategies to be adopted in first aid, handling patients, stretcher making, CPR, handling snake bites and training program on drowning and river crossing. He also conducted Fire Fighting Training (Types of Fire and Demonstration of Fire) and mock drill.Mr. Ammar Yasir spoke on importance of social service in the field of humanitarian relief.Mr. Amir Jamal, Volunteer Coordinator, SBF, spoke on team building activities, goal setting and explained about the core structure of volunteerism in SBF – Organization, Structure, Expansion and Consolidation.
