OUR LATEST PROJECTS

Exhaustive Training Programs

Disasters never come knocking, but the impact appears to be very drastic and intense in various ways. In order to provide real-time and effective assistance when such disasters strike to minimize their impact requires long-term preparation, capacity building and exhaustive training.
SBF believes that only extensively trained volunteers can effectively tackle these situations and help the vulnerable population. In view of this, it organizes multiple training programs for its volunteers at different levels.

Project Rahat

As part of the Project Rahat, SBF engages with these people in several states of North India during the winter. The beneficiaries are provided with 1.8 KG mink blankets to help them survive the battle against harsh weather. The project helps to minimize cold wave-induced fatalities among homeless people and to spread warmth and empathy towards fellow human beings.

Kapda Bank

SBF works for the welfare of such people through its Clothes Distribution Campaign, after disasters and natural calamities as well as in normal conditions. SBF provides clothes to people in underprivileged sections of the society, for both winters and summers to help them get through the harsh weather.

Disaster-Ready Model Village (DRMV)

SBF believes that the impact of these floods and other similar disasters in other areas could be minimized by adopting a sustainable community-based disaster management approach. In view of this, it has launched a research and development project in Assam, to create resilience among the local community through flood-awareness and mitigation programs, and sustainable livelihood programs.

Mr. T. Arif Ali, Chairman (Vision Governing Council), is appealing for a winter relief donation.
