Yesterday evening (date: 12/6/18), embankment of the Longai River breaches at the village known as Nowadohor under Patharkandi Revenue Circle, Karimganj, Assam. Today morning a team of SBF lead by Anwar Hussain Mia went to the effected area to assess the initial ground situation. Findings are as follows :-

Area effected: Patharkandi Revenue Circle & Nilambazar Revenue Circle under Karimganj Dist., Assam.
Total Population effected : 75,000 (approx)
Building : 30 nos (fully).
Cattles: Yes
Crops: Yes
Communication : Patharkandi-Mukamtilla Border Road and Patharkandi-Tillabari road is submerged under flood water.
